The stacks delivered have a common look-and-feel for the implementation, operation, management, and evolution of IP software infrastructure via standards-based interfaces and common programming languages such as C, C++, and Java. Developers can quickly incorporate high-performance IP networking across a wide range of products that are configured and managed using familiar interfaces. You can control and manage these platforms using the Command Line Interface (CLI) and/or Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). nGIN’s stacks are ANSI compliant thus allowing the use of industry standard compilers including GNU and DIAB.

nGIN’s IP Environment framework consists of four planes:

  • Common System Plane (CSP)
  • Forwarding Engine (FE)
  • Forwarding Plane Interface (FPI)
  • Command Line Interface (CLI)

Each of these planes contains a set of components that are built to use well-defined interfaces.
