There are many flavors of DSL, but ADSL (2/2+) is the most prevalent and VDSL is gaining popularity in cases where IPTV deployment is happening. DSL lines are aggregated using a DSLAM. Older deployments used ATM-DSLAM’s but current generation deployments all use IP-DSLAMs, or Ethernet-DSLAMs.
